I have decided to record what the boys are into and their answers to some questions that will continue to arise in the future. I think it will be neat to see how their answers change as they grow up.
Aidan: right now Aidan loves to play with cars, blocks, reading, drawing, and riding his scooter and bike. He likes to play with our neighbor Zach and his favorite gal is Ella. His favorite shows are Chuggington and Jungle Junction on the Disney channel.
Aidan, what do you want to be when you grow up? "a doctor", Why? "because I want to do what Dr Mustafa does" Why? "because I like him and I want to help people feel better"
Aidan what is your favorite food? "ice cream cookies, sushi, fruit cups and applesauce"
Carson: right now Carson loves all of his Toy Story toys, dinosaurs, and cars. He likes to play "playhouse disney" and "Sprout" games online on the computer. He favorite friend at school is David. And he doesn't really care about girls right now! His favorite shows are Word World (PBS), Toy Story movies and the Wiggles.
Carson, what do you want to be when you grow up? "I want to sit at the table and eat dinner and I want to reach something when I grow up." (I think he is thinking about when he literally grows up and is taller!)
Carson's favorite foods: Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cheerios, bagel and a cream cheese (as Carson says it!) and apple juice
I can't wait to see how these change as the boys grow. I know Aidan's future career goal has changed many times. It used to be a teacher, then a principal, then a police officer and a fireman. The doctor answer was news to me, but whatever he wants to be is fine with me as long as he is happy!

Brewers game
Over Memorial Day weekend, Jason and I took the boys to a Milwaukee Brewers baseball game. Aidan has been to a few games already, but this was Carson's first MLB game. He was very excited. We had very warm weather over the weekend and were hoping for a cooldown in Milwaukee, but no such luck! It was in the 90's! Luckily, our seats were in the shade so that helped a little.
Here are my boys at the game.
Our view of the field from our seats.

Over the past few years, the Brewers have made their ballpark more family friendly. A new kids area is part of this. Here is Aidan up to bat.

Batter up Carson!

Aidan is not a fan of Thunderstorms!
We had a rumbling thunderstorm the other night. Aidan said he was scared. I asked him why. He answered "Thunderstorms are not my thing!"

Aidan's Last Day of Kindergarten!
Today was Aidan's last day of Kindergarten and I still don't know where the time has gone this year. It feels like he was just going for his first day. The picture below is Aidan on his first day. He looks like a little boy, unsure of what lies ahead.
Here is Aidan on his last day of school as a cool, grown-up Kindergartner. (it was a little sunny on the last day!)

He has had many new experiences during his first year in school. He rode the school bus for the first time. He had hot lunch at school and had to figure out the whole tray thing! He was able to experience new after school classes each quarter. He did Mad Science, Spanish and Young Rembrandts (drawing). He loved them all!
He went on his first field trips to many places including to the Edward's Apple Orchard, Williams Tree Farm, the library, Burpee museum, and a few more I can't remember right now! Aidan as you will learn as you get older, you tend to forget things! That is another reason I am doing this blog.
He earned special prizes and trips for reading all of the Monarch Books.
He learned to read and write. His handwriting improved a lot during the year along with his fine motor skills.
Aidan met new friends (and girlfriends!) including some new who we found out live in our neighborhood!
The year summed up according to Aidan:
Aidan's favorite part of Kindergarten: Going to PE, going on field trips, going to computer lab, and playing at recess on "Kids' World", .
Aidan's least favorite part about Kindergarten: per Aidan, nothing! He liked everything about Kindergarten!
Aidan really loved his teacher, Mrs Hartshorn and so did Jason and I. She was very good for Aidan. So hopefully we get another great teacher next year for 1st grade.
