I had all these plans to post various pictures from events and activities throughout the summer, and well I didn't. It was one of those busy summers where you don't know where the time went. I will try to recap the summer as well as I can.
June brought the end of Aidan's Kindergarten year. He loved his teacher, Mrs. Hartshorn and learned a lot. Carson finished up his preschool/daycare for the year and stayed home for the summer with Aidan and I.
Both boys played soccer through the Y. Here is a great action shot of Aidan

We enjoyed a family day at the Brewers game in Milwaukee. The boys loved the kids activities.

Aidan loves his scooter he got from Santa last Christmas

Carson riding his bike. Love his cheesy smile.
Jason went to Harvard for a week long, intense, graduate class. He had a great time, learned a lot, but was absolutely exhausted when he got home.
Following are some pictures of his extracurricular activites in Boston.

Aidan ran in his first race this summer. He had so much fun.

July: We started out the month at Ryan (Aidan's godfather) and Nicole's wedding on the 3rd. It was a perfect weekend up in Lake Geneva.
After the 4th of July, we headed to Oklahoma to visit my parents and sister Heather and her 2 boys.
We went to the St Louis Zoo on our way down to OK.

It is always ridiculously hot on the day at the zoo, but we try to make the best of it and get our annual picture by the gorilla!

The zoo always wears the kids out, and this year was no exception! The boys were out until we got to Springfield MO!

Heather gave birth to Carter a couple of weeks before we arrived. Aidan loves babies and Carter was no exception!

My sister Holly came up to visit in late July. We took her shopping and to a Cubs game in Chicago. I think we wore her out and she probably slept for days after getting back home!

August:
Aidan learned how to ride a 2-wheeled bike. He was very determined.

He fell down a little in the beginning.

But he got right back up and kept trying

And before we knew it, he was riding all by himself!

Carson loves driving the Hummer.

Aidan with his new bike. Ready to ride!

Carson was playing with bubbles here and got more on him than in the air!
Carson climbing up the water slide. If you look closely, you will see his tongue hanging out....he is really working to get up there!

Aidan went to a day camp and they tye dyed shirts.....and apparently their hands and feet too! It stayed on for 2 days!

Carson started a new preschool up by Aidan's "big school". He loves his new teachers and new friends. Of course, we had to have the Toy Story backpack! It is about as big as he is, but he loves it!

Jason started another year as Principal at Lincoln on his 34th birthday. Aidan also started 1st grade on the same day. So needless to say it was a very busy day!

Now it is almost Labor Day and the weather is cooling down. I am sad to say goodbye to another summer, but only for the fun we had, not for the hot and humid weather. I am happy to say goodbye to that!
