At my 27 week appointment, I had to do the awful glucose test. That drink did not settle well with me this time. With my pregnancies with Aidan and Carson, the drink didn't taste great, but it didn't affect me the way it had with this one. After I drank the sugary drink, I felt all jittery and nauseous. I barely held it down the entire hour I had to wait for the drink to do its thing before they could draw my blood to test my levels.
While I was waiting the hour, I had my regular doctor appointment. Of course, the baby's heartbeat was high since he was high on sugar! But everything else looked good.
Update: My results came back for my 1 hour glucose test and I failed. I can't say that I am surprised, but a little bummed on what it could mean. For now, I need to go back and take the 3 hour glucose test to see if I truly have gestational diabetes.
