Day 6- First Day at Disney!

On Wednesday, we drove about an hour and a half to Orlando to go see Mickey for a few days. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and were happy we were able to get into our room right away in the morning. We put our stuff in the room and the boys were thrilled with the bunk beds in the room. Since it was the closest park to us, we started with Animal Kingdom.

We took a safari ride and saw a lot of animals.

They also got to meet Rafiki from the Lion King

We had dinner at Yak and Yeti in the Animal Kingdom park. It was a great meal and even Carson finished his plate. We signed up for the Disney dining plan and will absolutely do that again. It came with so much food, including dessert with every meal! The picture below is after dinner.

Since we didn't get it on the way into the park, we got the picture in front of the sign on the way out.

It was a great first day at Disney. The boys rode a few rides, saw a few characters and we had a great dinner. Next up, Magic Kingdom!
