This year, Aidan has been introduced to the sport of hockey. He has been obsessed and in love since Day 1. He started out going to Ice Hogs games. He would sit for the entire game and just be mesmerized. He started memorizing the players names and learning the game and the rules. He started asking to play hockey, but honestly, since Aidan hasn't had the best coordination in the past, we were hesitant. But he was persistent, so we finally gave in after the New Year and let him sign up for chair hockey. Chair hockey is the first level of hockey offered at the local Ice House. The kids learn to skate by holding onto a chair. On the first day, Carson wanted to give it a try, so we signed him up too. We thought we would have the boys in chair hockey for a few sessions but were shocked when both boys learned to skate so quickly. Aidan was moved up to the next class, Rink Rats, within 3 weeks. It is the first class to use a stick. Aidan absolutely loved it! He is so determined to learn how to skate and play hockey well. Hockey has turned into his "thing" so we are letting him run with it!

Carson loved skating.
By the end of the first class, both boys were trying to skate without the chair.
